5-HTP Complex, 30 tablets, Natures Aid

Properties:

• Each 5-HTP Natures Aid tablet contains 100 mg of 5-HTP (Griffonia Simplicifolia) and Avena Sativa (Wild Oats). Each tablet also contains magnesium, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6 and niacin.
• The properties of 5-HTP are centered around the fact that it is a direct precursor of serotonin.
• Serotonin is one of the twelve neurotransmitters and is also used by some cells outside the brain. The vast majority of serotonin in the body is found in the intestinal tract, where serotonin is used to help regulate digestion and peristalsis (waves of contractions that move food along the digestive tract).

Contraindications and precautions:

• 5-HTP should not be taken with antidepressants, migraine medications, Parkinson's disease medications, or weight management medications; do not use with other serotonin altering agents or substances known to cause liver damage.

• May cause drowsiness; if 5-HTP has this effect on you, do not drive or operate machinery.
