Due to the thinning of the ozone layer, our skin is increasingly exposed to UV rays. A distinction is generally made between two types of UV radiation: UVB rays, which mainly affect the upper layer of the epidermis and can cause redness. UVA rays penetrate deeper into blood vessels and often cause redness. Since the face is constantly exposed to sunlight (even in winter), it is particularly important to protect it from UV rays.
