Enterol 250 mg, 20 sachets, Biocodex is a probiotic that is administered in the treatment of diarrhea. Indications: treatment of acute infectious diarrhea in adults and children; prevention and treatment of colitis and diarrhea caused by antibiotic use; in combination with vancomycin/metronidazole, to prevent the recurrence of diseases caused by Clostridium difficile; prevention of diarrhea caused by enteral nutrition; treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. Administration: The recommended dose is 1 - 2 sachets of Enterol 250, 1-2 times a day. Pour the contents of the sachet into a little water or sweetened drinks (the sugar must be boiled), mix and drink. The oral powder can also be combined with food or poured into a baby bottle. Precautions and contraindications: Contraindications Hypersensitivity to any of the product components; patients with central venous catheter fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, sucrase deficiency, isomaltase (due to fructose content). Precautions: Enterol 250 contains live cells. This medicine should therefore not be combined with very hot (over 50 degreesC) or very cold drinks or food or with ethyl alcohol. Possible side effects: Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 is a living organism associated with the risk of systemic fungal infection: rare cases of fungemia have been reported in seriously ill, hospitalized patients, most often for gastrointestinal diseases, with a central venous catheter. Pregnancy and lactation: In animal studies, no teratogenic potential was evident. To date, no fetotoxic or malformative effects have been reported in the clinic. Due to insufficient data, it is recommended to avoid the use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation. Composition: One sachet of oral powder contains lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 282.5 mg (contains lyophilized cells of Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 250 mg) and excipients: lactose monohydrate, fructose, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, artificial “tutti frutti” flavor.
