THE OCCULT BLOOD IN FEACH TEST is intended to detect occult blood in a stool sample. The principle of the test is based on the antigen-antibody reaction. The presented test for occult blood in the stool is very accurate, reaching up to 99.1%. It was developed to detect even small amounts of blood, invisible macroscopically (to the naked eye). The fecal occult blood test can also help diagnose ulcers, polyps, and intestinal inflammation. Testing for the presence of occult blood in feces can be done at home without the need to send the sample to a laboratory.

To perform a fecal occult blood test, you will need a high-quality diagnostic test and a timely stool sample. It is not advisable to collect feces for testing during menstruation or during bleeding hemorrhoids. You should not drink alcohol or take medication 48 hours before you pass the stool. The fecal occult blood test is a convenient diagnostic method that allows you to get a reliable result at home. Home occult blood tests are recommended to be performed regularly by all people over the age of 50, those with a family predisposition to cancer and patients suspected of colorectal cancer. Tests for occult blood in feces make it possible to detect disturbing symptoms relatively early, which allows the implementation of treatment and significantly increases the chances of recovery. The principle of the test is based on the antigen-antibody reaction. The antibodies applied to the test membrane during production react with the hemoglobin in the blood present in the tested stool sample. The test result is read as colored lines on the membrane of the test cassette within 5 minutes. Diet does not affect the test result.
