What is bee bread?
Pierzga , also called bee bread, is a mixture of bee pollen, honey and bee salivary enzymes. The bees compact this mixture into the honeycomb and fix it with honey and wax. The entire product undergoes lactic fermentation, making it resistant to spoilage. Bee bread is the food for young bees and is the main food in early spring and autumn-winter.
