GenuTrain P3 active support for stabilizing the kneecap

The GenuTrain P3 is an active knee brace specifically designed to improve patellar tracking. It is suitable for anterior knee pain, patellar tendinitis, patella alta, patellar lateralization with a tendency to dislocation, and patellofemoral pain syndrome (e.g., chondropathy, chondromalacia). Through its targeted guidance of the patella, it also supports the knee after lateral release surgery and in cases of instability. The brace exerts medically effective compression, improves proprioception, and thus contributes to stabilizing the knee joint.

Comfortable knit and targeted guidance of the patella

The Train knit concept is particularly stretchy, breathable, and moisture-wicking, ensuring a high level of comfort even in the popliteal fossa (back of the knee). A special, skin-friendly knit covers the sensitive popliteal area, while a laterally positioned seam prevents pressure points. The lightweight, anatomically shaped pad ensures secure positioning of the brace and a comfortable feel. A crescent-shaped medial patellar cover is integrated into the kneecap recess, supporting the physiological movement of the patella and counteracting medial tilting.

Targeted pressure points for pain relief

The pad, in conjunction with the corrective strap located laterally at the patellar border, centers the patella and prevents lateral drift. Two friction points in the distal section of the pad relieve pressure and reduce pain in the retropatellar region. The proximal section of the pad extends to the musculotendinous junction of the vastus medialis muscle and, through alternating compression, stimulates metabolism, improves proprioception, and further reduces pain. Following surgical procedures, the corrective strap can help to secure the surgical outcome.

Special detonation pad

A detoning pad is located at the upper lateral edge of the bandage. This pad uses sensorimotor feedback to gently relax the iliotibial tract and its effect on the lateral patellar retinaculum. This reduces lateral tension on the patella, relieves pressure on the kneecap, and alleviates pain. Simultaneously, the external compression of the bandage supports the resorption of edema and effusions, thus promoting regeneration.

Instructions for use

The GenuTrain P3 should be worn according to the individual indication and adjusted to the specific knee joint. Ensure that the pad is correctly positioned around the kneecap and that the corrective strap lies flat against the lateral edge of the patella. The soft knit fabric in the back of the knee provides a high level of comfort, even during extended wear, provided the brace is applied correctly. The brace is intended for use in the aforementioned conditions, such as anterior knee pain, instability, or following lateral release surgery.
