Gotu kola is an adaptogen, also known as centella asiatica. It is particularly valued in Ayurveda. Biowen's vegan capsules are gluten- and lactose-free, so they can be used by people on many diets, not just plant-based ones.

Biowen's Gotu Kola extract is standardized to 20% triterpenes known for their beneficial effects on the brain.

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) positively affects mental health by supporting cognitive function and helping maintain healthy energy levels, well-being, and emotional balance. It also has a beneficial effect on:

• functioning of the cardiovascular system,
• proper functioning of veins, which reduces the so-called "feeling of heavy legs",
• abdominal and stomach pain (relieves them),
• improving digestive comfort,
• stimulation of fibroblast development,
• healing and scarring of wounds,
• helps prevent ulcers in the digestive system.

The capsules also contain BioPerine®, an extract from black pepper fruit. It supports the adaptogen's action by beneficially affecting the skin, liver, and digestive system. BioPerine® is also an antioxidant.

Ingredients: Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) extract standardized to 20% triterpenes, BioPerine® black pepper fruit extract standardized to 95% piperine, capsule shell: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Daily dose: One capsule daily with a meal. Not recommended for use on an empty stomach. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

It is best to take Gotu Kola supplements in the morning or afternoon and avoid taking them in the evening, as Gotu Kola is supposed to help maintain energy throughout the day.

Contraindications: Like any supplement, Biowen Gotu Kola extract should not be used with medications that may interact. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their physician.
