Properties of the ingredients of MamaDHA capsules

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the maintenance of proper brain function and correct vision. The beneficial effect occurs when 250 mg of DHA is consumed per day. At the same time, DHA and EPA acids contribute to the proper functioning of the heart (the beneficial effect occurs with a total intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA per day). DHA consumed by a woman during pregnancy and breastfeeding contributes to the proper development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and breastfed infants. The beneficial effect occurs with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA above the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, i.e. 250 mg of DHA and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).

Folic acid helps in the proper production of blood, participates in the process of cell division, supports the proper functioning of the immune system and helps to reduce the feeling of tiredness and fatigue. In addition, supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folic acid status. Low levels of folic acid in the mother are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.

Iodine helps the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and the correct production of thyroid hormones. It contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system and to the maintenance of adequate cognitive functions. It also helps maintain healthy skin.
