Native to the Balkans, the horse chestnut is a majestic ornamental tree commonly found in public gardens (20 to 30 m tall). The fruit is a spiny capsule containing the globose seed, which is harvested in September and October.
Horse chestnut was acclimatized in France for ornamental purposes in the 17th century. The fresh seeds of this species have been used in phytotherapy since the end of the last century. Some old grandmother's remedies have survived the centuries. Keeping one or two chestnuts in your pocket and replacing them when they become hard can ward off rheumatism!
Native to North America, Hamamelis is a shrub grown in Europe in deep, acidic soils. It has a similar appearance to a hazelnut and is also known as witch hazel. The leaves, which can reach 15 cm in length, turn dark red when dry.
Originally used by the Indians, it was discovered in Europe at the end of the last century.
Horse chestnut is known to promote good circulation and help keep your legs light. It is combined with witch hazel. Produced in our laboratories Alcohol-free - Colorant-free - Preservative-free
