Thealoz® Duo – Protects and regenerates. Trehalose makes the difference.

Thealoz® Duo is a patented combination of successful and widely used mechanisms of action for dry eyes. Thealoz® Duo combines the beneficial properties of hyaluronic acid (0.15%) with those of the natural ingredient trehalose (3%).

While hyaluronic acid provides soothing moisture to the eye and forms a long-lasting film of moisture on its surface, trehalose stabilizes the natural tear film. Furthermore, trehalose protects the eye from damage caused by dryness, while hyaluronic acid regenerates existing damage to the eye's surface.

The ABAK® system

The patented ABAK® system combines the advantage of being preservative-free with the ease of use of a conventional dropper bottle. ABAK® stands for A = free from, BAK = benzalkonium chloride, a common preservative.

Thealoz® Duo in the ABAK® system is preservative-free, phosphate-free, and very well tolerated. This makes it ideally suited for long-term use and for use after eye surgery or LASIK (laser eye treatment).
