Pycnogenol
It is the extract of the bark of the French maritime pine and contains substances such as flavonoids, procyanidins and phenolic acids, with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is patented and has been extensively studied over the past 30 years, with over 170 clinical trials and 450 scientific publications, showing beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, chronic venous insufficiency, cognitive function, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), joints, eye and skin health, respiratory function and athletic performance. Recent literature has shown that pycnogenol is particularly promising for its action on atherosclerosis, as it improves endothelial dysfunction, reduces plaques and areas of lipid deposition, improves the stability of atherosclerotic plaques, inhibits foam cell formation and reduces total cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Grape Seed Extract A natural source of oligomeric polyphenols of proanthocyanidins, known to exhibit a wide range of cardioprotective properties against oxidative stress and to demonstrate anti-atherosclerotic action. Proanthocyanidins protect endothelial cells and reduce vascular damage. According to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Committee for Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC), grape seed extract can be administered as a traditional herbal aid for short-term use to relieve the feeling of heaviness in the limbs associated with mild disorders of the vascular system.
