Action

Aqua-Gel hydrogel dressing

• provides a moist environment on the wound surface, which supports autolytic cleansing of dead tissue and influences the processes of granulation and epithelialization of the wound,
• adheres well to the wound, but does not stick to it,
• is hypoallergenic - does not cause allergies,
• has absorption properties, absorbs wound exudate and retains it along with bacteria,
• it is flexible and allows for dressing hard-to-reach parts of the body,
• allows observation of the wound surface thanks to its transparency,
• allows the wound to "breathe",
• alleviates the formation of hypertrophic scars,
• has a soothing effect on superficial burns and swelling caused by insect bites, for example.

Indications

Aqua-Gel hydrogel dressing can be used for:

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns (thermal, chemical, electrical),
• sunburn,
• ulcers,
• pressure sores,
• other chronic wounds, e.g. diabetic foot,
• abrasions, bruises, swelling.

How to use a medical device

Aqua-Gel is applied to the wound surface using either side. Use dressings appropriate in size for the wound.

1. Tear open the bag and remove the dressing mold.
2. Holding the thin foil and the protruding non-woven material, remove the hydrogel from the mold.
3. Remove the thin foil covering the dressing.
4. Secure the dressing with a non-woven adhesive tape, polyurethane film or bandage.

Contraindications and precautions

• Do not use on wounds with significant amounts of softening necrosis, signs of infection, large amounts of exudate, or purulent material. In these situations, surgical debridement is necessary before applying the dressing.
• A dressing removed from the packaging and not used loses its sterility and cannot be used later.
• For single use only.
• Reuse may cause wound infection.
• The recommended time to keep the dressing on the wound is 48 hours.
• To prevent the dressing from drying out too quickly, you can place a layer of gauze moistened with saline solution on its outer surface.
• Store at 0-25 ^o C.
• Protect from moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
