Diclofenac AL pain gel 10mg 2X150 g
Description
Diclofenac AL Pain Gel 10 mg/g Gel for musculoskeletal complaints
The human musculoskeletal system is a complex organ system. It ensures body shape and posture and enables movement and locomotion. It has an active and a passive component: The active musculoskeletal system is primarily formed by the skeletal muscles and their accessory structures such as fascia and tendons, while the passive musculoskeletal system (supporting apparatus) comprises the skeleton with its bones, cartilage, and joints.
Pain in this area can be caused by illnesses, acute injuries, or overuse. Injuries and inflammation are often difficult to distinguish as causes of pain. Typical triggers include sprains, strains, and bruises, which often occur as a result of (sports) accidents. Lumbago (lower back pain), on the other hand, is characterized by muscle stiffness after sudden movements, excessive strain, or stress. Joint pain is frequently accompanied by swelling of the affected joint, thus significantly restricting mobility.
Diclofenac AL Pain Gel 10 mg/g Gel for the local treatment of acute pain
Diclofenac AL pain relief gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug/analgesic (NSAID). By inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis by cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), diclofenac reduces inflammation-related pain and swelling.
The gel is used in adults for the local, symptomatic treatment of:
- mild to moderate acute muscle pain
- Pain from acute sprains, strains or bruises resulting from blunt trauma
In adolescents aged 14 years and older, Diclofenac AL is used for the short-term, local, symptomatic treatment of pain in acute sprains, strains or bruises resulting from blunt trauma.
How to use Diclofenac AL Pain Gel 10 mg/g Gel
Diclofenac AL pain relief gel is applied thinly to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily as needed and gently rubbed in. Depending on the area being treated, a cherry- to walnut-sized amount is required, corresponding to 2–4 g of gel (20–40 mg diclofenac sodium). The maximum total daily dose is 16 g of gel.
The gel should only be applied to intact skin. Skin wounds, open injuries, eyes, and mucous membranes must not come into contact with Diclofenac AL Pain Relief Gel. Wash your hands after application, unless they are the area being treated.
The duration of treatment depends on the area being treated and the individual's response. It is recommended to review the treatment progress 7 days after starting. If symptoms have not improved or have worsened after 3–5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Use Diclofenac AL Pain Relief Gel 10 mg/g Gel in an environmentally friendly way
For environmentally friendly application, only the necessary amount should be used:
- 1–2 g (cherry-sized) for smaller painful areas, e.g. fingers
- 3–4 g (walnut-sized) for larger areas of pain, e.g. knees
After application, first wipe your hands with a cloth, which should then be disposed of with regular household waste. Rinse your hands with water. The treated area of skin should only be washed after sufficient contact time. Any remaining product and the tube itself must be disposed of with regular household waste.
Storage of Diclofenac AL Pain Gel 10 mg/g Gel
The gel should not be refrigerated or frozen. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C.
