Retinal is the molecule of the "big brother" retinol, hailed as the anti-aging superstar. While retinol requires two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form of retinoic acid (also known as tretinoin), retinal is a direct precursor, requiring only one conversion step to reach the active form, which is the one that actually works in skin cells. It is estimated that retinal can be converted into retinoic acid up to 10 times faster than retinol itself, making retinal an exceptionally effective member of the retinoid (vitamin A) family.

Once converted, retinal helps skin cells produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin appear more youthful, firm, and elastic. It also accelerates the renewal process of the skin's upper layers, making it smoother and more even. A-Game 20 is a must-have product for intelligently addressing aging, but it's also useful as an adjunct product for treating hyperpigmentation issues, as well as helping acne-prone skin and its resulting scars.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT INTENDED FOR?

We recommend this product if you've already used our A-Game 5, loved it, and feel like your skin is ready for the next level. In terms of texture, this product is more comfortable for combination and oily skin.

Instructions for use

Apply a pea-sized amount to your face at night and distribute evenly. In your nighttime routine, first apply liquid and gel products after cleansing (for example, a toner or our other gel serums like HA 5), followed by your emulsion or milk-type serums (like Power Peptides), and then A-Game. Finish your routine with a moisturizer. Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher in the morning.

If you're using A-Game 20 for the first time, start by applying it once or twice a week for two weeks. If your skin tolerates it well, increase to every other night for two weeks, and eventually, if your skin tolerates it, use it every night. Depending on your skin's sensitivity, you could use A-Game 20 on the eye area and neck, but only apply a small amount and adjust the frequency based on your individual skin's tolerance level.

Do not use during pregnancy. Although topical use of retinoids while breastfeeding is considered low risk, consult your doctor before use.

Additional Information: A-Game has a bright yellow color due to its high concentration of retinal. In our experience, this color dissipates into the skin and leaves no yellow residue on surfaces. If you still experience residual color, you can minimize it by allowing the product to fully absorb and applying a moisturizer on top. Any stains on fabrics can be removed by washing with your usual detergent.
