The oral lactic acid bacteria treatment

KadeFlora lactic acid bacteria with biotin are capsules that can be conveniently taken daily with a glass of water. Compared to suppositories, oral administration is practical and unproblematic during menstruation.

Why is biotin beneficial for the mucous membrane?

Biotin supports the health of mucous membranes, including the vaginal mucosa. Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is an essential vitamin for maintaining healthy skin and mucous membranes. Healthy mucous membranes form a barrier against external factors such as foreign germs. Therefore, it can be particularly beneficial to support the health of the mucous membranes by taking biotin, especially during challenging times.

Lactic acid bacteria: Building blocks of the vaginal flora

The development of the vaginal flora begins at birth through the oral ingestion of bacteria from the mother's vaginal flora and breast milk. These bacteria colonize the vagina via the gastrointestinal tract, perineum, and vulva. The vaginal flora consists of billions of different lactic acid bacteria and a few other microorganisms. These lactobacilli maintain a vaginal pH of 3.8–4.5.

However, the balance of the vaginal flora can be influenced by the following factors:

• improper intimate hygiene
• persistent stress
• Taking antibiotics
• pregnancy
• hormonal fluctuations (menopause, taking the birth control pill)
