A-Cerumen
Description A-Cerumen
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
A-Cerumen is a gentle ear hygiene spray solution based on surfactants, recommended for children over 6 months and adults. It is used to facilitate the removal of earwax and prevent the formation of wax plugs, or to dissolve wax plugs.
What is the role of A-Cerumen?
Earwax protects the ear from dust and foreign bodies, infections and controls the germs naturally present on the surface of the skin in the external auditory canal. In addition, it helps lubricate the eardrum, which, without earwax, would become stiff, hard and unable to transmit sound as well.
As a result of the chewing movements of the jaw, earwax is naturally removed from the external auditory canal to the outside. A disruption in this process causes earwax to accumulate. The resulting blockage impairs the proper functioning of the ear and can lead to hearing loss, vertigo, and buzzing. To keep the external auditory canal clean and prevent the formation of earwax plugs, use a gentle ear hygiene solution
A-Cerumen moistens and then dissolves earwax plugs (dry and compact earwax). After removing the plug, earwax will be secreted again to lubricate and protect the inside of the ear.
What does A-Cerumen contain?
A-Cerumen contains mild surfactants (sodium acyl sarcosinate and sucrose ester), a humectant and a natural colouring agent.
How is A-Cerumen used?
For regular ear hygiene, it is recommended to use it twice a week.
To remove earwax plugs, it is recommended to use it for 3-4 consecutive days, in the morning and in the evening.
- Tilt your head to the side opposite the ear to be treated.
- Spray twice into the ear.
- Leave it to work for about 1 minute, massaging the base of the ear.
- Tilt your head to allow the solution and earwax residue to drain, then rinse and wipe away any excess solution. Use saline solution or clean water for rinsing.
The bottle should be used within 3 months of opening.
Do not insert the applicator too deeply into the ear canal to avoid irritation.
After each use, remove the applicator and wash it with warm water.
What are the contraindications for A-Cerumen?
Do not use the product in case of perforation of the eardrum, otitis or by wearers of transtympanic drains.
If you experience ear pain, contact your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes or swallowing the product.
A-Cerumen is also available in a 2 ml single-dose bottle, which must be used within 24 hours of opening. Insert half the contents of one dose into each ear and allow the solution to act for approximately one minute.
