What is berberine? Berberine is an extract used mainly in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. There are several plants that contain berberine, but it is usually extracted from the bark of Berberis aristata, in the form of a premium extract standardised to contain 97% berberine chloride (berberine HCL).

Forms of release

There are several forms of berberine supplements, usually in the form of capsules with different concentrations. Berberine can be found on the market in the following forms:

Berberine, 500 mg, 60 capsules, Zenyth;
Berberine, 60 capsules, Solaray, etc.

Indications for use

Berberine has multiple therapeutic indications. It can be used to help maintain normal blood sugar levels. It may be beneficial for people with diabetes or insulin resistance. Berberine can also help lower triglyceride levels, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
