Description Ginosept
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Ginosept is a 100% natural vaginal ovule containing medicinal plants, essential oils and propolis. Ginosept acts as a protective mechanical barrier against vaginal infections, moisturises the vaginal mucosa, allowing nutrients to be transported to the cells, thus promoting the maintenance of the vaginal mucosa and the repair of damaged cells.
Ginosept ovules are available in two versions to suit individual needs:
- Ginosept ovules, recommended for people experiencing symptoms caused by vaginal infections;
- Ginosept Trofic ovules, recommended for women experiencing vaginal mucosa atrophy (dryness), especially during menopause, premenopause or breastfeeding.
What does Ginosept contain?
- Ginosept contains 100% natural ingredients that help form a protective layer on the vaginal mucosa, preventing colonisation by pathogens.
List of ingredients in Ginosept: solid glycerides, marigold flower extract (Calendulae flos), beeswax, thuja shoot extract (Thuja occidentalis), propolis tincture, poplar bud extract (Populi gemma), glycerine, eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalypti aetheroleum), thyme essential oil (Thymi aetheroleum), clove essential oil (Caryophylli floris aetheroleum), yarrow essential oil (Millefolii aetheroleum).
- Ginosept trofic contains ingredients based on plant extracts, essential oils and fatty oils, formulated to help reduce discomfort and accelerate the recovery of dry or irritated vaginal mucosa. These form a protective layer on the vaginal mucosa, which moisturises and supports the resistance and elasticity of the vaginal wall.
List of ingredients in Ginosept trofic: solid glycerides, beeswax, dry extract of red clover (Trifolium pratense) standardised to min. 8% isoflavones, Aloe vera gel powder, fluid extract of marigold flowers (Calendulae flos), fluid extract of chamomile flowers (Matricariae flos), fluid extract of sage (Salviae herba), tincture of hop cones (Lupuli strobuli), tincture of fenugreek (Trigonella foenugraeci semen), evening primrose oil (Oenotherae biennis oleum), wheat germ oil (Tritici germinis oleum), glycerine, fennel essential oil (Foeniculi aetheroleum), tea tree essential oil (Melaleucae aetheroleum).
What symptoms does Ginosept treat?
Ginosept is designed to combat intimate infections as follows:
- It relieves discomfort in the intimate area.
- Reduces symptoms caused by vaginal atrophy (dryness).
- Accelerates the recovery of the affected vaginal mucosa.
- It acts on candidiasis, leucorrhoea and genital inflammation.
Ginosept ovules are especially for women going through menopause or premenopause, but also for women who have symptoms of vaginal dryness outside of menopause, helping to:
- Eliminating vulvar burning sensation, relieving dyspareunia and pruritus.
- The improvement and disappearance of dysuria.
- Due to its phytoestrogen content, it is a natural alternative for the relief of vaginal atrophy.
How is Ginosept administered?
The recommended dose is 1 Ginosept ovule/day for 6-12 consecutive days, or 10 consecutive days in the case of Ginosept Trofic.
Method of administration: remove the ovule from the blister pack and insert it deep into the vagina.
It is recommended to administer the ovule in the evening, before bedtime, after washing the local area.
Sexual intercourse should be avoided while using the product.
At what age can Ginosept be administered?
Ginosept is recommended for adult women who show signs of intimate infections, while Ginosept Trofic is intended for women who are going through menopause or premenopause.

Ginosept is available in the form of ovules, in two variants – Ginosept and Ginosept Trofic. Ginosept products are also available in the form of tea or cream.
Can Ginosept be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
The use of Ginosept is contraindicated during pregnancy because it may stimulate uterine contractions during administration. Ginosept Trofic is recommended for women who are breastfeeding to combat vaginal dryness.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Ginosept.
Are there any contraindications for using Ginosept?
The use of Ginosept is contraindicated during pregnancy because it may stimulate uterine contractions.
Do not use during menstruation or in cases of oestrogen-dependent breast disorders or abnormal vaginal bleeding that has not been evaluated by a doctor, as well as in women with endometrial hyperplasia (abnormal growth of the uterine lining).

Can Ginosept and other medicines be taken at the same time?
Yes. Taking Ginosept does not interfere with the administration of other medicines.
Which is better to take: Ginosept or Ginosept Trofic?
The right choice depends on the purpose of administration.
