Ginsavit by Pharco is a complex dietary supplement designed to maintain overall health and support the body during periods of physical and mental stress. The product contains a balanced combination of 11 essential vitamins, minerals, inositol, choline and standardised ginseng extract, which has a tonic, adaptogenic and revitalising effect.
Its formulation aims to restore metabolic balance, stimulate concentration and strengthen the immune system, especially in the context of a demanding lifestyle or poor diet.
Forms of release
Ginsavit comes in the form of soft gelatin capsules, packaged in boxes of 24 units. Each capsule contains both fat-soluble active substances and water-soluble vitamins and minerals in a lipid matrix, promoting intestinal absorption. The capsules are intended for oral administration and ensure optimal bioavailability of the active ingredients.
Indications for use
Ginsavit vitamins are recommended in many situations involving increased stress on the body, such as:
- Physical and mental exhaustion (e.g. during prolonged stress);
- Chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, decreased concentration;
- Periods of intense intellectual effort (exams, demanding professional tasks);
- Post-infectious convalescence, immune support;
- Unbalanced or deficient diet in terms of quality and quantity;
- Elderly people or people recovering from chronic diseases;
- Amateur or competitive athletes (without risk of doping);
- Smokers, people who consume alcohol or have gastrointestinal disorders with malabsorption.
Dosage
The usual recommended dose is 1-2 capsules per day, preferably taken with meals to facilitate the absorption of fat-soluble components. The product is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age. It is recommended to follow the indicated dose to avoid excessive intake of fat-soluble vitamins or iron.
Contraindications
Ginsavit vitamins are contraindicated in the following situations:
- Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients (including allergy to peanuts or soy);
- Hypervitaminosis A or D;
- Severe renal failure;
- Patients undergoing treatment with retinoids;
- Metabolic disorders such as hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, hyperkalaemia, hyperphosphataemia;
- Rare endocrine and metabolic diseases: Addison's disease, Wilson's disease;
- History of haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis or haemolytic anaemia;
- Recurrent urinary tract infections with a predisposition to kidney stones.
Special instructions for use
Ginsavit soft capsules should be administered with caution to patients with a history of liver disease, as some vitamins may have a hepatotoxic effect at high doses.
In elderly patients, renal function should be monitored before long-term administration.
Side effects
Ginsavit is generally well tolerated, but mild or moderate adverse reactions may occur:
- Gastrointestinal disorders: nausea, dyspepsia, mild abdominal pain;
- Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, facial oedema, in rare cases;
- At high doses, there is a risk of hypervitaminosis A and D, with symptoms such as headache, irritability, anorexia or hypercalcaemia.
Interactions with other medicines and foods
Ginsavit may interact with various medicines such as:
- Retinoids, increasing the risk of liver toxicity and hypervitaminosis A
- Thiazide diuretics – may increase serum calcium levels
- Antibiotics such as tetracyclines – the iron in the composition may reduce their absorption
- Oral anticoagulants – vitamin E and ginseng in high doses may increase the risk of bleeding
Overdose
Excessive intake of Ginsavit may lead to toxicity, particularly due to fat-soluble vitamins (A and D), iron and other trace elements. Symptoms include:
- Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain;
- Headache, blurred vision, photosensitivity;
- Drowsiness, irritability, joint pain;
- Hypercalcemia with polyuria, polydipsia and renal failure.
In case of acute overdose, it is recommended to discontinue administration and seek emergency medical attention for symptomatic treatment and monitoring.
