Nutren Junior is a complete, balanced, vanilla-flavoured diet that can be administered orally or via a feeding tube for children aged 1-10 who are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition.
It can be used as nutritional support before or after surgery, as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement to the diet. It does not contain gluten. It should be used under medical supervision.
How should Nutren be used and prepared?
Consume the contents within 4 weeks of opening. The prepared product must be kept in a closed container and consumed within 4 hours if stored at room temperature or within 12 hours if stored in the refrigerator. The powder may become compact due to transport.
To maintain the quality of the product, it should be stored in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed after opening.
Nutren is prepared as follows:
Wash your hands before preparation. Select the volume to be prepared.
For 250 ml of preparation, you can add 210 ml of water with 7 scoops (55 g), or if you want a higher calorie content, add 10 scoops (80 g) to 190 ml.
Measure the amount of boiled and cooled water (at room temperature) and pour it into a clean container.
Measure the amount of powder using the scoop provided in the box or weigh it in grams.
Add the powder to the water in the container and stir until smooth.
After use, place the scoop inside the box. Do not change the proportions. Follow the preparation and feeding instructions carefully. After each use, close the box tightly and store it in a cool, dry place.
What does Nutren contain?
Nutren Junior contains: fats (saturated fatty acids), carbohydrates (sugars, lactose), fibre, protein, salt, minerals (sodium, chlorine, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, selenium, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, fluorine), vitamins (C, E, PP, A, B6, Bq, B2, folic acid, vitamin K, biotin, vitamin D3, B12, probiotics, taurine, L-carnitine.
What are the contraindications for Nutren?
It should not be given to children under 1 year of age.
What is Nutren Optimum?
Nutren Optimum is recommended for the prevention and correction of malnutrition or as nutritional support before or after surgery, when there is no gastrointestinal impairment.
Wash your hands before preparation. Measure the amount (190 ml) of boiled and cooled water (at room temperature) and pour into a clean container. Measure the amount of powder using the scoop provided in the box or weigh it in grams: 7 scoops (55g powder). Add the powder to the water in the container and stir until smooth. After use, place the scoop inside the box.
Once the box has been opened, consume the contents within 4 weeks. The prepared product should be stored in a closed container and consumed within 6 hours if kept at room temperature or within 12 hours if kept in the refrigerator.
Do not administer to children under 4 years of age, people with galactosaemia, and do not administer parenterally.
Nutren Optimum contains, in addition to Nutren Junior, maltodextrin, vegetable oils (sunflower, rapeseed), milk proteins, sucrose, soy, choline, and lecithins.
