Xerostom

The Xerostom range includes several types of products, tailored to the individual needs of users, with different forms of delivery: saliva replacement gel, oral moisturizing spray, toothpaste, mouthwash or dry mouth lozenges.

These products are specially formulated for daily use, providing long-term comfort and protection.

Xerostom products are recommended for people with:

• Xerostomia caused by various medical conditions, including Sjögren's syndrome, HIV infection, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer's disease, or that caused by radiation therapy, chemotherapy or the use of certain medications
• Oral discomfort such as difficulty swallowing, speaking, or chewing
• Oral mucosal lesions and inflammation caused by extreme dryness.

Xerostom dry mouth lozenges stimulate salivary function through both mechanical action and a patented combination of Saliactive® that can increase salivary flow by 200%.

Xerostom mouthwash acts as a restorative and protective barrier in all areas of the mouth affected by xerostomia, moisturizing the oral cavity.

Xerostom Toothpaste is ideal for patients with sores and mouth ulcers, as it has a gentle action without irritating the gums.

The dosing regimen of Xerostom products depends on the delivery form and the individual needs of the users.

The saliva replacement gel is applied with the fingertip to the area of the oral mucosa to be treated, as often as necessary. Its use is particularly recommended before meals and at bedtime.

The moisturizing spray can be used whenever needed, by 1-2 sprays on the affected areas, and in the case of toothpaste, brushing 3 times a day for 3 minutes is recommended for children over 7 years and adults.

In the case of Xerostom lozenges, take 3-4 tablets a day or as needed and allow to dissolve in the oral cavity.

Xerostom products are not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to any of their ingredients.

Xerostom Pills is sugar-free and is suitable for use in patients with diabetes mellitus or phenylketonuria.

Xerostom mouthwash can be used after brushing with Xerostom toothpaste. Rinse the mouth for 1 minute with the undiluted product, without the need to rinse with water as well.

Xerostom products are generally well tolerated. In rare cases there may be a slight burning sensation on first application in severely damaged mucous membranes or minor allergic reactions.

If you notice side effects, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a doctor.

No significant interactions have been reported between Xerostom products and other medicines or foods.

However, simultaneous use with oral products containing alcohol or harsh detergents should be avoided.

There are no documented cases of overdose with Xerostom products. However, excessive use has no additional benefit.

Xerostom has xylitol in its composition, and excess consumption may have a laxative effect.

Xerostom products should be stored at room temperature (15-25°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
