Description
Medical device indicated for the symptomatic treatment of constipation. Promotes peristalsis, helping to ensure correct intestinal transit, thus counteracting constipation and preventing fecal impaction. It also facilitates the elimination of intestinal gases, reducing the sensation of bloating and abdominal distension. Agpeg esse is available in powder form for oral solution.
Macrogol is an inert, high molecular weight, water-soluble polymer that binds to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the stool. It rehydrates and softens the stool, facilitating evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to fluid or electrolyte imbalances when administered with the indicated dose of liquid. Simethicone is a substance that reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion.

How to use
Use the graduated cup included in the package to measure the amount of powder: fill it levelly and without pressing, then remove the excess product with the blade of a knife.
Children aged 6 months to 12 years (adults/children <43 kg)
- from 6-10 kg: 1 measured portion per day;
- from 10-15 kg: 1-2 grated teaspoons per day;
- from 16-20 kg: 2-3 grated teaspoons per day;
- from 21-43 kg: 3-4 grated teaspoons per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular and soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 teaspoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml per teaspoon) and administer immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if one teaspoon per day is required. For higher doses, divide the dose between morning and evening.
Adults and children over 12 years of age (>43 kg)
- 2 to 10 teaspoons per day.

The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 10 teaspoons per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml per teaspoon) and administer immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose is required (2 teaspoons per day). For higher doses, divide the dose between morning and evening.

warnings
Do not take Agpeg esse if you have a known hypersensitivity to macrogol or any of the other ingredients, intestinal perforation, obstruction or stenosis, paralytic ileus or severe inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or toxic megacolon. The use of the laxative is contraindicated in cases of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin or severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disturbances (stomach pain, flatulence, bloating, nausea and fecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhoea is a side effect of taking excessive doses of Agpeg esse and can be avoided by reducing the dose. Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported rarely following the use of products containing macrogol. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
It is recommended that the product be used by children after consulting a doctor. Administration to children should be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Do not use if the packaging is opened or damaged. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose. Keep out of reach of children. If no improvement is observed after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult a doctor. The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of orally administered drugs. It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor if you are taking oral medications at the same time, which should in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart. If you experience any side effects, even if they are different from those listed, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. The expiry date indicated refers to the product properly stored in its intact packaging. After opening the container.
