The pencil should not be applied in one stroke. You can start with individual dots along the lash line that you can connect later, or you can draw a half line from the center of the eyelid outwards and then draw the second half from the inside to the center.
The pencil lasts very well if you prepare the lid with eyeshadow or powder beforehand.
