Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) – "fruit of long life"

Haritaki is a tree that grows in South Asia and Sri Lanka. The small green fruits of this tree are used in Ayurvedic medicine. It plays a key role in Tibetan medicine, where it is called the "king of medicine" and is found in almost all Tibetan herbal formulas. This is one of the three ingredients of the Triphala blend.
