LibraMed is a medical device that supports the treatment of overweight and obesity, also suitable for use in case of increased waist circumference. The tablets help control the postprandial glycemic peak while reducing fat absorption and hunger.

How does LibraMed work?

LibraMed contains a patented complex of macromolecules - Policaptil Gel Retard®. It combines polysaccharide fractions obtained from: cellulose, fiber ( Opuntia Ficus-indica ), Riviera prong ( Amorphophallus konjac K. Koch ), marshmallow ( Althaea officinalis ), in common ( Linum usitatissimum ), broad-leaved linden ( Tilia chicophyllos traveler ) and ( Cichorium intybus ).

Thanks to Policaptil Gel Retard®, LibraMed works at the intestinal level, where it creates a gel with high viscosity . The gel helps control the postprandial glycemic peak by reducing the amount and speed of carbohydrate absorption (the so-called "delay effect"). It also reduces the feeling of hunger and postprandial sleepiness . The same mechanism of action of the Policaptil Gel Retard® complex limits fat absorption and supports intestinal transit and regulates stool consistency .

LibraMed, combined with a balanced diet, an adequate intake of fluids and regular physical activity, due to its mechanism of action, is indicated for weight control in adults and children over 8 years old.
