SUPRASORB A+Ag Antimicrobial Calcium Alginate Compress 5x5 cm
The wound dressing made of non-woven cross-linked calcium alginate fibers is derived from natural brown algae and offers many advantages:
- high exudative capacity
- rapid gel formation
- soft and excellent for tamponing
- conforms to any wound bed
Suprasorb A + Ag derives its antimicrobial effect from the addition of silver-containing alginate fibers. The silver ions released through contact with wound exudate can exert their effect directly on the wound surface through the gel formation of the alginate. This ensures the dressing is rapidly effective, even against MRSA and VRE.
The compresses are sterilely packaged and individually sealed.
