Vigalex D3 spray is a food supplement designed to supplement the nutrition of infants, children and adults with vitamin D. The spray form used is convenient to use. It is especially good for younger children and the elderly as it eliminates the need to swallow tablets or capsules. One press of the dosing pump delivers 400 IU of vitamin D, which is suspended in plant-derived MCT oil ( medium-chain triglycerides ), i.e. oil containing medium-chain fatty acids.

Vitamin D – properties and action

Vitamin D is produced in the skin under the influence of sunlight and is supplied to the body with food. Its deficiencies can occur between September and April due to the geographical location of Poland, as well as in summer in people who often stay indoors or use sun protection filters. Vitamin D deficiency can also occur in people over the age of 65.

Vitamin D:

• helps maintain healthy bones and teeth and is necessary for proper bone growth and development in children;
• supports the proper functioning of the immune system;
• helps the muscles function properly;
• participates in the process of cell division;
• helps reduce the risk of falls associated with postural instability and muscle weakness. Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women age 60 and older. The beneficial effect occurs when 20 μg of vitamin D from all sources is consumed daily.
