What are the indications for Balonix?
Balonix is a medical device formulated with plant extracts and volatile oils, recommended for abdominal discomfort caused by intestinal gas, which manifests itself as bloating, abdominal cramps, belching and flatulence. Excess gas is caused by an imbalance between gas production and elimination. Gas is formed as a result of food digestion, the activity of bacteria that make up the intestinal flora, but also less healthy eating habits such as chewing gum, drinking carbonated beverages, drinking liquids through a straw, eating sweets, swallowing liquids or solid foods quickly, and talking during meals.
Balonix can be used to combat excess intestinal gas formation and can be used in preparation for abdominal examinations such as X-rays, ultrasounds, radio-scopies, colonoscopies or endoscopies. Balonix also treats gastrointestinal conditions accompanied by gas accumulation in the abdomen.
What does Balonix contain?
Balonix tablets: contain dry chamomile extract standardised to 50 mg apigenin, fennel essential oil standardised to 2 mg trans-anethole, thyme essential oil 2 mg and peppermint essential oil 2 mg.
Balonix chewable tablets: contain simethicone corresponding to 80 mg dimethicone per tablet.
Balonix emulsion: 1 ml of emulsion contains 40 mg simethicone, which facilitates the elimination of abdominal gas through bubbles removed by physiological mechanisms.
How is Balonix emulsion administered?
This medical device can be administered from the first days of life in doses of 0.5 ml before each meal. For long-term results, it is recommended to administer Balonix emulsion for several days. If colic does not disappear 3-4 days after the first administration, you can increase the dose to 1 ml.

For children over 6 years of age, administer 1 tablet twice a day, as needed. For adults, administer 1 tablet 3-5 times a day, as needed. The tablets can be dissolved in the mouth or swallowed with water.
What are the contraindications for Balonix?
Do not take Balonix if you are hypersensitive to any of the product's ingredients. Exceeding the recommended doses may cause laxative effects.
