Ialoclean

Ialoclean is available in several forms – Ialoclean nasal spray, Ialoclean aerosols (single-dose solution for nebulisation), spray for the oropharyngeal mucosa, orodispersible powder (sachets), tablets and Ialoclean Defence orodispersible powder.

Ialoclean nasal spray is used as an adjuvant in cases of excessive nasal secretions, rhinitis, irritation due to environmental factors, colds, sinusitis, rhinosinusitis, allergic rhinitis and rhinopharyngitis. It liquefies nasal secretions and facilitates the elimination of mucus, improving breathing. Ialoclean nebuliser solution is used in tonsillitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, rhinitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, allergies, inflammation of the vocal cords, irritative cough, flu and colds or in cases of respiratory symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Ialoclean is also sometimes used to promote wound healing after surgery on the nose, ear or throat. The tablets are also indicated for stomatitis or ulcers in the oral cavity.

Ialoclean is a medicine that moisturises and protects the mucous membrane from irritants and inflammation, thanks to its hyaluronic acid content. It forms a protective film on the surface of the nasal and oropharyngeal mucosa and retains the water normally present. It prevents dryness, soothes and protects the surface from external irritants and pathogens. It also has an osmotic effect and decongestant action. In addition, it has an emollient and lubricating role, improving symptoms of inflammation and irritation.

The spray is not addictive and there is no risk of overdose, it does not affect taste and does not dry out the nasal mucosa.

Ialoclean nasal spray contains hyaluronic acid, chamomile extract and N-acetylcysteine as its main active ingredients. Hyaluronic acid has a moisturising effect, forms a protective film, reduces hyperreactivity, relieves symptoms and has a bacteriostatic effect. Chamomile reduces swelling and pain and has antioxidant, moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties. N-acetylcysteine promotes mucus elimination, reduces the viscosity of secretions, has an antioxidant effect and destroys bacterial biofilm. The tablets also contain aloe vera gel and other ingredients. Ialoclean Defence also contains Lactobacillus plantarum, a probiotic that balances the bacterial flora, together with vitamin B6, which supports the proper functioning of the immune system.

Ialoclean nasal spray: Spray 3-4 times a day in each nostril (two sprays in each nostril). The dose for children is one spray in each nostril, up to 3-4 times a day. It can also be used for longer periods, but the duration of use depends on the severity of the symptoms. Do not blow your nose immediately after spraying.

Ialoclean spray for the oropharyngeal mucosa: The adult dose for the oropharyngeal mucosa spray is 3-4 sprays up to 5 times a day. For children over 2 years of age, 2-3 sprays up to 4 times a day are recommended. Do not consume any food or liquid for 10 minutes after spraying.

Ialoclean for aerosols: The recommended dose for the nebuliser solution (Ialoclean ampoules) for adults and children over 6 years of age is 1 single-dose container twice a day. For children aged 2-6 years, half a single-dose container twice a day is recommended. The single dose is combined with saline solution in a 1:1 ratio and administered using an aerosol device.

Ialoclean tablets: The recommended dose of Ialoclean tablets for adults and children over 6 years of age is 1 tablet every 2-3 hours, not exceeding 6 tablets per day. These tablets should be allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth and should not be swallowed, chewed or dissolved in water.

Ialoclean Defence: Ialoclean Defence is indicated for adults and children over 4 years of age. It has a local effect and is administered as 1 sachet in the evening before bedtime. The powder is dissolved in the mouth.

Ialoclean is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the product's components.
