The Cryolophosaurus dinosaur or crested lizard was discovered in Antarctica, it lived in the Mesozoic era in the Lower Jurassic, 190 million years ago.
Cryolophosaurus was a huge carnivorous dinosaur, it was around 7-8 meters long and about 1.5 tons, being one of the largest theropods of that period.
The skull of the Cryolophosaurus dinosaur had a strange ornament in the form of a crest that probably appeared only in males, the females were devoid of this ornament and had a body size larger than theirs.
