Lutein - extract from marigold flowers ( Tagetes erecta )

Tagetes, also called multi-flowered, is a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family that occurs naturally in Central and South America and Mexico. It was brought to Europe in the 16th century. Tagetes is famous for its yellow or orange flowers collected in large flower baskets.

Tagetes erect - an ingredient of the preparation

The beautiful color of marigold flower petals is related to the carotenoid content. The most important compounds are the carotenoids, i.e. lutein and zeaxanthin, which are the only ones found in the retina, especially the macula. Tagetes erecta extracts contain much more lutein than zeaxanthin. Lutein is a yellow pigment of plant tissues.

Ingredients: marigold flower extract, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule)

Recommended daily dose: 2 capsules

The composition of the recommended daily dose:

800 mg of calendula flower extract standardized to 5% lutein content = 40 mg of pure lutein 200 mg of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule)

How to use: 2 capsules a day with plenty of water, preferably half an hour before meals.

Net content: 90 capsules of 500mg = 45g
