Iridina® Umectant eye drops is a sterile ophthalmic solution with moisturizing and lubricating effect, which contains hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.4% of biotechnological origin, with high molecular weight. Hyaluronic acid sodium salt is a mucopolysaccharide that, in case of changes in the tear film, restores its balance. The concentration of 0.4% allows better hydration, with prolonged action over time. It is therefore indicated in all cases where disorders caused by dry eyes occur. Iridina® Umectant eye drops also contain sodium hydroxymethylglycinate (NIG) as a preservative system.
Does not contain benzalkonium chloride. It can also be used by people wearing contact lenses.

Indications for use:
Iridina® Umectant eye drops is a lubricating and moisturizing ophthalmic solution, indicated in all cases where disorders caused by dry eyes occur. The most common causes of dry eyes can be:
Use of contact lenses.
Reasons related to the environment: sun, wind, cold, smoky rooms, rooms with dry air produced by heating or air conditioning installations.
Computer use.
Old age.
Drug treatments: antidepressants, anxiolytics, hormones and antihistamines.
Eye surgery.

Composition:
Hyaluronic acid sodium salt 0.4%, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate, sodium phosphate dibasic dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, EDTA, water for injections.

How to use:
Open the bottle.
Instill 1-2 drops in each eye, gently pressing the bottle.
After use, close the container immediately: the contents of the bottle can be used for a maximum of 28 days after first opening.
The bottle is indicated to be used by one person
Repeat the operation, if necessary, 2-4 times a day.
Contact lens wearers can apply 1-2 drops of solution to each lens before insertion to keep the eye moist and lubricated.

Warnings and precautions:
The product is for external ophthalmic use only.
Do not use the product if, at the time of first opening, the container is found to be damaged or if it is not perfectly closed.
Wait at least 15 minutes after use before applying external ophthalmic drugs.
During administration, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the tip of the dropper.
Do not use in case of known incompatibility with any component of the preparation.
Store at a maximum temperature of 30°C.
Do not use the product after the expiry date written on the packaging.
Do not throw the packaging into the environment after use.
Keep the preparation out of the reach of children.
In case of any disturbances during use, stop the treatment and consult a doctor.
In some cases, after administration, a short visual disturbance was observed due to the increased density of the solution, which anyway disappears very quickly.
Do not throw away after use.
