A PLANT CITED IN THE EBERS PAPYRUS Peppermint, with its strong scent, was already present in Egyptian tombs, where dried mint leaves were found. It was mentioned in the oldest known medical treatise, the Ebers Papyrus, as a stomach calmer. Widely used by the Romans to flavor wine and in the Arab world for tea, it is now widely used in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Many traditional medicines still use it for its digestive properties: Indian medicine (Ayurveda), Chinese medicine, etc. It is cultivated all over the world, but the quantities and qualities of this hydrosol vary depending on the soil.

Peppermint Hydralate, also known as peppermint floral water, is known for its toning, purifying, astringent and refreshing properties. It soothes redness, itching and irritation and fights sweating.
