Home cassette test for determining the level of TSH hormone in the blood for the diagnosis of thyroid diseases.
APPLICATION
A rapid test designed to determine the concentration of the TSH hormone in a fingertip blood sample, short test execution time, results in 10 minutes.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
The TSH TEST is intended to determine the concentration of the TSH hormone in the blood. The sensitivity of the test is 5 µIU/ml. The clinical use of TSH level measurement is useful in the diagnosis of hypothyroidism, whose characteristic symptoms are: drowsiness, fatigue, overweight, frequent feeling of cold inappropriate to the weather, hair loss and dry skin. We offer a home TSH test that allows you to accurately assess the likelihood of hypothyroidism.
INDICATIONS FOR THE TSH TEST

swelling of the throat
mood swings

If there is a suspicion that the thyroid gland is not working properly, a TSH test should be performed and check whether the TSH level is normal. This can be a home test that gives a quick result so you can take the appropriate steps. An elevated TSH level may indicate hypothyroidism, while a low TSH level may be linked to an overactive thyroid gland. The TSH home test is performed by taking a sample of blood from the finger and placing it in the test well. The result appears after 10 minutes and allows a reliable assessment of the thyroid condition. The TSH TEST for home use was developed so that everyone has the chance to diagnose problems with the thyroid gland without the need for a doctor's appointment. It will be necessary to contact a specialist only if the test result confirms the suspicions or the symptoms still persist.
TSH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce and secrete thyroid hormones (thyroxine T4 and triiodothyronine T3). The pituitary gland increases TSH secretion in response to lower thyroid hormone levels. Reduced secretion of TSH occurs with an excess of thyroid hormones. Therefore, the regulation of TSH secretion is based on the principle of negative feedback with thyroid hormones. When free thyroxine (fT4) and triiodothyronine (fT3) are low, TSH levels are high. Conversely, high fT4 and high fT3 cause low TSH levels. Determining the level of TSH in the blood is a basic test that allows you to check whether the thyroid gland is working properly. Therefore, the concentration of TSH should be measured in hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, as well as as a control of thyroid hormone replacement therapy, especially in hypothyroidism. Low TSH levels are linked to hyperthyroidism, whose characteristic symptoms include excessive nervousness, irritability, feeling hot, sleep problems, diarrhea, and increased blood pressure. An elevated TSH level indicates hypothyroidism, whose characteristic symptoms include fatigue, sleepiness, weakness, excess weight, constipation, increased hair loss, or depressed mood.
