Epitelin

Epitelin is available as an ointment in a 40 g tube, individually packaged with the package leaflet. The semi-solid form allows local application directly to the skin and ensures progressive absorption of the active ingredients without leaving any oily or sticky residue. The fine, easy-to-spread texture facilitates use even on sensitive or extensive areas.

Epitelin is indicated in the following situations:

• Superficial wounds of any aetiology (cuts, abrasions, scratches);
• Eschar and trophic lesions;
• First- and second-degree burns, including sunburn and chemical burns;
• Insect bites;
• Frostbite;
• Eczema and dermatitis;
• Erythema and skin irritation;
• Varicose ulcers and other chronic conditions affecting skin integrity.

As a 100% natural product, free of parabens, aluminium derivatives and not tested on animals, Epitelin stands out for its high safety profile and proven effectiveness in accelerating skin regeneration.

For superficial lesions, it is recommended to apply the cream 2-3 times a day, in a thin layer, on the affected area, after cleaning the skin.

For deeper lesions, wounds, scabs or burns, a careful protocol is required:

• Wash the affected area with standard antiseptic solutions;
• Apply a thick layer of cream;
• Cover with a sterile dressing;
• Change the dressing every 12-24 hours, depending on the amount of discharge and the evolution of the wound.

Epitelin is not recommended for people with known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients (calendula, chamomile, evening primrose) or to the cream's excipients.

Although the incidence of allergic reactions is low, people with atopic skin should perform a local tolerance test before extended use.

A special feature of Epitelin is its microbially uncontaminated composition, which makes it suitable for application to open wounds without risk of additional infection. The cream also contains no parabens, artificial fragrances or aggressive preservatives, making it suitable even for the sensitive skin of children and the elderly.

Evening primrose adds increased therapeutic value through its essential fatty acids (linoleic acid, gamma-linolenic acid), which promote skin barrier repair and reduce inflammation. The flavonoids and saponosides in calendula and chamomile help reduce swelling, itching and local pain.

Epitelin is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, local allergic reactions such as erythema, pruritus or a burning sensation at the application site may occur. In such cases, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.

As a product for topical use with minimal systemic absorption, Epitelin has no relevant interactions with other medicines or foods. However, concomitant use with other topical dermatological products should be done with caution, maintaining an interval of at least 30 minutes between applications to avoid possible interference or dilution.

The risk of overdose is extremely low due to topical application and natural composition. Excessive use may cause mild skin irritation, especially if applied under an occlusive dressing without medical supervision. It is recommended to follow the dosage regimen to avoid unwanted reactions.

Epithelia should be stored at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources. It is recommended to close the tube tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
