Weleda

Weleda. Preserving, improving and restoring human health

Weleda was founded in 1921 as a laboratory with its own medicinal plant garden. Unusually, the company began operating in three countries at once: Germany, France and Switzerland.

Almost 100 years after its founding, Weleda is one of the leaders in the production of natural hair and skin care products. The range also includes dietary supplements and medicines.

The raw materials used in Weleda's products undergo rigorous testing. About 80% of the raw materials come from the company's own garden, with the rest purchased from trusted and certified suppliers and wild plants. No preservatives or colourants are used in the production process.

The company offers several product lines:

  • Face care (lifting, cleansing, special care);
  • Body care (milk, oil, deodorants);
  • Children's series (creams and lotions, sun protection, oils, baby bath products);
  • Pregnancy (oil for stretch mark prevention, nipple cream);
  • Oral care (toothpastes, gels and balms);
  • Hair care (shampoos, conditioners, masks, tonics);
  • Medicinal products.

Weleda products are mainly sold in pharmacies and specialised cosmetics stores; they are not available in mass-market stores.
