NOTE: Do not use this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding (contains Vitamin A). Retinal is the "big brother" molecule of Retinol, hailed as the anti-aging superstar. While Retinol requires two metabolic conversion steps to reach the active form of retinoic acid (also known as tretinoin), Retinal is a direct precursor, and only needs one conversion step to reach the active form that actually works in skin cells. It is estimated that retinal can be converted into retinoic acid up to 10 times faster than retinol itself, making it an exceptionally effective member of the retinoid (vitamin A) family. Once converted, retinal helps skin cells produce more collagen and other structural elements, making the skin appear more youthful, firmer, and more elastic. It also accelerates the renewal process of the upper layers of the skin, making it smoother and more even. A-Game 10 is a must-have product to treat aging intelligently, but it is also useful as an adjacent product to treat hyperpigmentation problems as well as to help acne prone skin and its consequent marks. In terms of potency and knowledge, we compare our 0.1% Retinal Serum to the potency and efficacy of a 1% Retinol product but being potentially less irritating and with faster results. Remember to apply a cream with SPF 15 or higher every morning! If you're using A-Game 10 for the first time, start by applying it 2 to 3 times a week for two weeks. If you tolerate it well, move on to every other day for two weeks, and finally, if your skin tolerates it and you don't experience any adverse effects, every night. Do not use around the eye area. Good to know: A-Game has a bright yellow color that comes from retinal. Based on our experience, it dissipates upon contact with the skin and leaves no yellow residue on the surface.
