Description

Gripex Hot Sinuses sachets are a comprehensive treatment for colds, flu, flu-like symptoms, and sinusitis. The medication contains four active ingredients: paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, dextromethorphan, and chlorpheneamine. Gripex Hot Sinuses has analgesic, antipyretic, and antitussive properties, unclogs the nasal passages and sinus cavities, and reduces mucous secretions, congestion, and swelling of the nasal mucosa.

Composition

The active substances of the drug are: paracetamol (Paracetamolum), pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (Pseudoephedrini hydrochloridum), dextromethorphan hydrobromide (Dextromethorpbani hydrobromidum), chlorphenamine maleate ( Chlorphenamini maleas).

1 sachet contains: 650 mg of paracetamol, 60 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, 20 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate.

Excipients: ascorbic acid, anhydrous citric acid, lemon flavor, povidone, sodium citrate, corn starch, stearic acid, sucrose, titanium dioxide, calcium phosphate, quinoline yellow.

Dosage

This is a medicine. For safety, use it according to the package leaflet. Do not exceed the maximum dose. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

The drug is administered orally.
Dissolve the contents of the sachet in a glass of hot water. Drink the hot liquid in small sips.

The recommended dose of Gripex Hot Sinuses for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 sachet. The dose can be repeated if necessary, but not more frequently than every 4-6 hours.

Do not use more than 4 sachets per day. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

Action

Gripex Hot Sinuses contains 4 substances with complementary effects. Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic properties. Pseudoephedrine reduces nasal congestion and swelling. Dextromethorphan has an antitussive effect, and chlorphenamine relieves sneezing.

Indications

Gripex Hot Sinuses is used for the temporary treatment of cold symptoms, flu, flu-like symptoms, sinusitis (fever, runny nose, cough, headache, sore throat, muscle and joint pain).

Contraindications

Do not use Gripex Hot Sinuses: if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; if you have severe liver or kidney failure; if you have anemia (low red blood cell count); if you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol, dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine or chlorphenamine; if you are taking medicines that inhibit a protein (enzyme) called monoamine oxidase (so-called MAO inhibitors), such as phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, moclobemide. Do not use this medicine for two weeks after stopping taking medicines containing monoamine oxidase inhibitors; in children under 12 years of age, without a doctor's recommendation; during pregnancy and breast-feeding; if you have a cough with a lot of phlegm; if you have bronchial asthma and cough associated with bronchial asthma; if you have severe hypertension; if you suffer from severe coronary heart disease; if you suffer from cystic fibrosis (an inherited, genetic disease that manifests itself, among other things, by a tendency to develop bronchitis and pneumonia).

Rare (occurs in 1 to 10 in 10,000 patients): drowsiness, dizziness, euphoria, excessive sedation, light-headedness, anxiety, nervousness, irritability, mood disorders, psychomotor agitation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, allergic reactions.

Very rare (occurring in less than 1 in 10,000 patients): agranulocytosis (lack of white blood cells), thrombocytopenia (lack of platelets), neutropenia (lack of white blood cells).

Additionally, Gripex Hot Sinuses may cause: heart rhythm disturbances, shortness of breath, rash, itching, changes in blood pressure, and liver symptoms ranging in severity from clinically insignificant elevations in liver enzymes to liver damage. The harmful effects on the liver are more severe in cases of malnutrition, alcoholism, and other diseases, as well as when taking certain medications.

Some symptoms (e.g. nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, shortness of breath) may occur more frequently and with greater severity in immobilized patients.

Warnings and precautions

This medicine contains 15 g of sucrose. This should be taken into consideration by patients with diabetes. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Store below 25°C.

Use of other medications

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take.

Do not use Gripex Hot Zatoki with other medicines containing paracetamol, pseudoephedrine or other sympathomimetics (such as nasal decongestants, appetite suppressants or amphetamine-like psychostimulants), dextromethorphan and/or chlorphenamine or other antihistamines (antiallergic medicines).

Taking the medicine with food and drink

Food may delay the absorption of paracetamol.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

The use of Gripex Hot Sinuses during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated.

Use of the drug in children and adolescents

Do not use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age.

Driving and operating machinery

Gripex Hot Sinuses may have a significant influence on your ability to drive or operate machinery. Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, as it may impair your ability to drive safely.
