Description
Solution of elemental iodine and potassium iodide in water, with antiseptic and disinfectant properties.
The 100 g solution consists of:
- 5.0 g iodine (Ph. EUR)
- 10.0 g potassium iodide (Ph. EUR)
- 85.0 g water (deionized, Ph. Eur., USP, NF)
1 drop is approximately: 6.25 mg iodine solution (2.50 mg iodine and 3.75 mg potassium iodide).
Iodine is essential for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. We usually get iodine from our diet, however, the soil is depleted of essential nutrients and iodine is one of these minerals. In Japan, the average iodine intake is 10-14 mg per day.
