Xylitol is a natural ingredient of many fruits and vegetables, such as yellow plums,

strawberries, raspberries, cauliflower, lettuce and spinach. Hence, it has always been present in the human race

diet.

It is made from corn cobs. It is a healthy alternative to white sugar, containing 40% less calories, and can be used by diabetics.

Additionally, it has a very low glycemic index IG = 8, so it does not cause spikes in blood glucose and insulin levels.
