Ingredients:
The bark of Quercus robur, fam. Fagaceae, contains tannin, quercitanic acid, ellagic and gallic acid, bitter principles, quercin, fluoroglucin, pectic substances.
Effect:
Astringent, antidiarrheal, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial
Main uses:
Acute diarrhea.
Other uses:
Inflammation of the mouth and pharynx, inflammation of the skin, moist eczema, dermatitis, burns, frostbite, varicose ulcer, hemorrhoids, leucorrhoea, uterine hemorrhage, hemoptysis, melena, sweating of the feet
Contraindications:
Pregnancy, breastfeeding
Preparation:
- Internal use: decoction of 1 teaspoon of shredded bark to a cup of water.
- External use: concentrated decoction of 3-4 tablespoons of chopped root per 1 liter of water.
Administration method:
- Internal use: drink 2-3 cups of tea a day.
- External use: gargle, compresses on the affected area, local baths.

I find it useful for fighting accelerated bowel transit. I would have given it 5 stars, but the last box I purchased was of inferior quality to what I was used to. I found the formula more diluted,the tea less astringent.I hope there was a problem with this batch and that the original quality will be restored.
