The mouth, nose, and throat serve as the primary protective barrier against invading germs. Within the oral cavity, the oral microbiome, a collection of natural microorganisms, mainly beneficial bacteria, acts as the first line of defense. This oral flora fulfills crucial functions by harboring a multitude of different bacteria that repel harmful germs and prevent their colonization. Furthermore, certain types of bacteria produce defense substances that specifically combat pathogens.

A healthy oral microbiome comprises 800 to 1,000 species of bacteria. Factors such as an unhealthy diet, medications, or pH fluctuations caused by sugary foods can disrupt the balance of the oral flora and lead to dysbiosis, which impairs its protective function.

A balanced diet, a neutral pH level in the mouth, and the intake of beneficial bacteria from the natural oral flora are therefore essential for a healthy mouth. OMNi-BiOTiC® iMMUND contains the tested bacterial strain Streptococcus salivarius K12 in combination with vitamin D, which supports the normal function of the immune system in adults and children.

The vitality of the bacteria is guaranteed until the specified best-before date.

Recommended intake

For (young) children from 1 year of age, 1 sachet of OMNi-BiOTiC® iMMUND (1.5 g) per day is recommended. Dip the powder onto a moistened pacifier or spoon and place it in the child's mouth, where it will dissolve in 30 seconds. Do not pour the contents directly into the mouth.
