For daily heat treatment in cases of blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction

One of the main problems with blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction is that the secreted fluid from the meibomian glands hardens, leading to crusting on the eyelid margin and eyelashes. Heat therapy is therefore an important part of the treatment.

The use of the self-heating ^POSIFORLID® eye mask softens crusts on the eyelid margins, making them easier to remove. In addition, the warmth improves blood flow to the irritated eyelids and softens the meibomian gland secretions. This allows the secretions to be easily removed during the subsequent eyelid massage.

With regular use, the ^POSIFORLID® eye mask provides fast and lasting relief – for chronic blepharitis as well as for acute conditions such as styes or chalazion.

The ^POSIFORLID® eye mask enables effective heat therapy: As the only eye mask of its kind, it guarantees consistent, moist heat thanks to the cutouts for inserting moist cotton pads and a constant temperature of 45°C for at least 5 minutes. Overheating is impossible, so there is no risk of burns from the eye mask. However, it is still recommended to test the temperature beforehand, for example on your wrist, to ensure it is comfortable.

The heat mask for daily eyelid hygiene is reusable approximately 90 times and is available as a single and double pack.
