Action

The device works by applying graduated compression (also known as compression therapy) from the ankle upwards. This helps pump blood towards the heart. This pressure is gradually reduced as follows: 100% pressure at the ankle, 70% pressure at the calf, and 40% at the thigh. This pressure is used for preventive and therapeutic purposes. It reduces the diameter of veins and restores the function of venous valves. It increases the velocity of venous blood flow, thereby reducing tissue congestion and the amount of blood in small subcutaneous vessels.
