This, in turn, binds to special receptors in prostate cells, stimulating them to grow and divide strongly, as a result of which the risk of prostate enlargement and the appearance of cancer increases. According to doctors, prostate enlargement, or adenoma, is a symptom of aging in men, just like gray hair. It occurs in 60% of men over 50 years of age and in 80% of men over 80 years of age.

How to prevent changes in the prostate?

Factors that limit the transformation of testosterone into the dangerous hormone DHT may play a particularly important role in this respect. It was discovered that one of such factors is saw palmetto extract, whose active ingredients promote the elimination of DHT and limit its effect on the prostate gland.
