Description Acutil
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Acutil is a dietary supplement belonging to the neurotonic class (stimulates brain function) and is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega 3), folate (folic acid), Ginkgo Biloba, vitamins (vitamin B12 and vitamin E).
What is Acutil used for?
This dietary supplement is administered to pupils and students during periods of cognitive overload (tests, exams), adults who are going through a stressful period or who need to maintain attention and concentration. It is also considered to be beneficial in the treatment of dementia in elderly people.
What does Acutil contain?
Acutil contains numerous ingredients such as (per capsule):
- 350 mg omega 3
- Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract 60 mg
- 15 mg phosphatidylserine (may contain high levels of soy)
- 5 mg vitamin E
- folic acid 250 micrograms
- vitamin B12 5 micrograms
- fish oil, docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid
The capsule shell contains: gelatin, glycerin, purified water, colouring agents (yellow and red iron oxide, simethicone), liquid sorbitol.
All these ingredients work together to keep your brain working normally by reducing oxidative stress (vitamin E), increasing blood flow to the brain (Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract) and keeping you feeling mentally healthy by reducing exhaustion and tiredness (vitamin B12, folic acid). Polyunsaturated fatty acids and phosphatidylserine are important building blocks for nerve cells.
How is Acutil administered?
Adults can take 1-2 tablets per day, during or after main meals, with sufficient liquid. Do not take with alcohol. If you are taking it for the first time and want a good response, you can increase the amount to 2-4 tablets per day for the first 12 weeks.
Adolescents and children over 10 years of age can take 1-2 capsules per day.
Children between 10 and 4 years of age can take 1 tablet per day.
Warning: due to its folic acid content, Acutil should not be given to children under 3 years of age!
Do not give to children if they cannot swallow on their own, unless under strict adult supervision.
It is recommended to take Acutil in the morning or early in the day to avoid sleep problems, as it is a brain tonic.
What are the side effects of Acutil?
To date, no side effects have been reported with the use of Acutil, but as with any supplement or medication, the body may react differently, especially if you are using it for the first time. If you experience any unpleasant symptoms, stop taking it and consult a doctor.
What are the contraindications for Acutil?
Acutil is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the ingredients, soy or fish/seafood.
Do not administer to children under 3 years of age.
Can Acutil be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, do not use Acutil unless recommended by your doctor. It is not known whether Acutil is excreted in breast milk, so ask your doctor for advice before use.
Does Acutil interact with alcohol or other medicines?
Tell your doctor before taking Acutil if you are taking medicines that interfere with blood clotting, such as antiplatelet agents (e.g. low-dose aspirin) and/or anticoagulants (e.g. Sintrom or Trombostop), or if you have diabetes. You should stop taking it a few days before undergoing surgery.
Alcohol may affect the absorption of Acutil and therefore should not be taken together. In general, alcohol should not be combined with medicines or supplements.
Are Cebrium and Acutil the same?
Both Acutil and Cebrium are dietary supplements that stimulate cognitive function, but they have completely different compositions. Acutil contains vitamins, fatty acids and Ginkgo Biloba extract, while Cebrium contains a large amount of amino acids.
