Description Apimag
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Apimag is a dietary supplement indicated for the treatment of magnesium or vitamin B6 deficiencies. These deficiencies can occur due to poor diet, chronic alcohol consumption, during treatment with diuretics, but also due to digestive disorders with electrolyte loss (diarrhoea) or malabsorption syndrome.
What is Apimag?
Apimag Hyllan offers two types of dietary supplements: one in tablet form and one in effervescent powder form (sachets).
Apimag capsules contain 100 mg of magnesium and 10 mg of vitamin B6. The sachets (known as Apimag forte) contain 300 mg and 5 mg of vitamin B6. In addition, the sachet formula is enriched with 100 mg of vitamin C and 10 mg of royal jelly (which has a nutritional, stimulating and toning effect and can stimulate the appetite).
Both vitamin B6 and magnesium can reduce fatigue, improve nervous system function and maintain mental health. Magnesium also supports the normal functioning of the musculoskeletal system.
How is Apimag administered?
Apimag capsules: For adults, it is recommended to take 2-3 tablets per day, in 2-3 meals, and for children over 6 years of age, it is recommended to take one tablet per day. It is preferable to take the tablets during meals.
Apimag sachets: Take 1 sachet per day, in the morning.
Can I take Apimag during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant, it is recommended that you have an ionogram (to determine the plasma levels of calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium) before starting supplementation. Treatment with Apimag Hyllan is permitted in cases of biologically proven deficiencies and preventive magnesium treatments are not recommended.
Magnesium is excreted in breast milk, so you should avoid using Apimag while breastfeeding or, if this is not possible, stop breastfeeding during treatment with Apimag.
Are there any reported side effects for Apimag?
In general, magnesium and vitamin B6 supplementation does not cause problems in people without significant pathologies. There are very precise mechanisms that maintain the balance of trace elements within fixed ranges, which is why no adverse reactions have been reported for Apimag. However, certain groups of patients may have problems eliminating excess magnesium, reaching plasma values above the upper limit of normal. Therefore, it is generally not recommended to administer dietary supplements or medications to patients suffering from renal and/or hepatic insufficiency without the advice of the attending physician.
Does Apimag cause weight gain?
The version known as Apimag forte (sachets) also contains vitamin C and royal jelly. Royal jelly can have an appetite-stimulating effect, leading to an increase in the number of calories consumed, which is why we could say that Apimag causes weight gain. However, the weight gain is due to increased food consumption and not a direct fattening effect.
Apimag capsules contain only vitamin B6 and magnesium, without royal jelly, which increases appetite. If you are concerned that Apimag causes weight gain, you can choose the capsule version.
