Carmol is a traditional remedy for combating cold and flu symptoms such as fever, muscle and joint pain. Carmol is mainly available in the form of lotions.
Forms of release
There are several forms of carmol:
- Carmol Flu, 100 ml, Biofarm
- Carmol Junior, 100 ml, Biofarm
- Carmol Reumato, cold gel, 50 ml, Biofarm
- Carmol M, 100 ml, Biofarm, etc.
Carmol contains a combination of ingredients that work to relieve the symptoms of flu and colds. Carmol for colds and flu contains denatured alcohol in combination with levomenthol, terpineol, cinnamic aldehyde and essential oil of thyme. The children's version contains essential oils of lavender, lemon, mint and cultivated thyme.
Indications for use
Carmol is recommended for rubbing in colds and flu. Thanks to their complex active ingredients, these preparations activate local circulation, decongest tissues, relieve muscle pain and have a soothing, toning and revitalising effect on the skin. They provide a cooling sensation followed by warming and are also recommended for rubbing on the skin in case of fever.
Carmol M is a gel that activates local blood circulation. Carmol Reumato is a gel that reduces muscle tension and pain associated with articular and non-articular rheumatism. It is beneficial in cases of arthralgia (joint pain) and myalgia (muscle pain after sustained physical exertion).
Dosage and method of administration
Carmol lotion for adults is applied to intact skin by gentle massage, once a day, for a maximum of 21 consecutive days. Carmol Junior solution is applied diluted: one tablespoon (15 ml) to one litre of water. The solution is used to rub Carmol into the limbs and back. It can be used once a day for a maximum of 7 consecutive days.
