Prestogel

There are several forms of Prestogel available:

• PrestoGel ointment - 15, 25 or 50 g. Apply to the ano-rectal area, both internally and externally.
• PrestoGel suppositories - 10 pieces. PrestoGel suppositories are the solid cream version of the product.
• PrestoGel therapeutic soap - 100 or 200 ml. Recommended for gentle and delicate cleansing of the anorectal area, for proper hygiene and to prepare the area for the application of the ointment.
• PrestoGel wet wipes - boxes containing 7 individually wrapped wipes. Ideal for travel, when it is not possible to prepare the anorectal area for the application of PrestoGel ointment by washing with PrestoGel therapeutic soap.

PrestoGel contains Aloe barbadensis extract, Geranium thunbergii extract, Pogostemon cablin leaf extract, triethanolamine, carbomer and UV-sterilised double-distilled water.

PrestoGel is indicated for the care of the anorectal area, protecting the sensitive mucosa in the affected areas, as well as for the treatment, relief and prevention of bleeding in the anorectal area. It is recommended for anal fissures and internal and external haemorrhoids at any stage (I-IV).

PrestoGel ointment is applied locally to the anorectal area 4-6 times a day or more often if necessary. Remove the cap from the tube and use the top of the cap to break the seal. For internal haemorrhoids, use the threaded applicator. PrestoGel suppositories are used twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Depending on the results, the dose may be reduced to one application per day.

For optimal results, the anorectal area should be properly cared for and cleaned. It should be washed after each bowel movement, or at least 2-3 times a day, using PrestoGel therapeutic soap or PrestoGel wet wipes, which ensure gentle cleansing and disinfection of the area. Dry by dabbing with soft tissues, then apply PrestoGel ointment or PrestoGel suppositories.

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

PrestoGel is safe to use with other medicines as it does not interfere with their effects.

In general, PrestoGel is a very well-tolerated product and does not cause side effects. However, if you notice any unwanted effects, stop using the product immediately and consult your doctor or pharmacist. In some situations, if an anal fissure is also present, a burning sensation may occur with the application of PrestoGel due to the disinfectant properties of the product. The burning sensation disappears after washing the area where PrestoGel was applied, but it is recommended to reapply a smaller amount of the product after approximately 2 hours. Once the fissure closes, the stinging sensation disappears and PrestoGel ensures an accelerated healing process.

As it is a product containing natural ingredients, PrestoGel can be used for a long period of time without developing adverse reactions. However, for safety reasons, follow the doses indicated by your doctor.

Store in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight or heat.
