Cedar essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the woody parts of the cedar wood, native to the Himalayan area.
It has a warm, woody, slightly sweet and soothing aroma. The ancient Egyptians used it for its cosmetic and perfumery properties.
Today it is popular for its powerful energizing and balancing impact, as well as its antiseborrheic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, tonic, astringent, diuretic, expectorant and sedative effect.
Used in vaporizers, it repels mosquitoes, flies and other insects.
